About Us

Our VISION

To see lives transformed by Jesus as we grow in faith.

We believe that our chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. God created us with that purpose, but our sin has radically interrupted that purpose, and now instead of worshiping God we rebel against God by worshiping ourselves or other things. This rebellion leaves us under the just wrath of God. But God, in His loving kindness has provided us with the remedy in Jesus Christ. By grace, through faith in Christ we can fulfill our chief purpose as worshipers, which is living for the glory of God and finding our joy in Him

We believe that God has a plan to display His wisdom and grace to the world through the local Church (Ephesians 3:10). Building up the body of Christ then is essential to our DNA. We seek to do this through God honoring corporate worship and genuine small group community where God’s people can exercise their giftedness, and grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

We believe that God’s people aren’t only called to “gather” and build up the body. The Church gathers together to be built up in order to "scatter" or fulfill the commission we’ve been given by our Savior to make disciples of people from every tribe, tongue and nation. So, we are committed to reaching our community with the gospel along with taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Our MISSION

To participate in the building of Christ's church.

The Lord commissioned the Twelve and subsequently all disciples to reach the World with the Gospel. The first step in making disciples is reaching those who are not disciples, and proclaiming to them the Good News, that through the cross of Christ they can be in a right relationship with God. By repenting of their sin, confessing Jesus as Lord, believing in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, they- and anyone can be saved. (Romans 10:9, 1 John 1:9).

We believe that God is sovereign over salvation. In the infinite wisdom of God, He has chosen to use those He has called out of spiritual darkness and into His marvelous light to proclaim the message of the Gospel. Romans 10:14 says, "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"

The discipleship making process does not stop at conversion, but continues as Clossians 1:28–29 says, "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me."

How We Live Together

Grace Community worships together under a covenant, a statement on how we agree to live as a church. The church covenant is equal parts promise, summary of expectations, ethical statement, and biblical standard. We require all new members to publicly affirm it before joining the church. We also reaffirm our commitment to the covenant at various times throughout the year, stand as a body, and recommit ourselves to it.

Having, as we trust, been brought by Divine Grace to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to give up ourselves to Him, and having been baptized upon our profession of faith, in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, we do now, relying on His gracious aid, solemnly and joyfully renew our covenant with each other.

I. We will work and pray for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

II. We will walk together in brotherly love, as become the members of a Christian Church, exercise an affectionate care and watchfulness over each other and faithfully admonish and entreat one another as occasion may require.

III. We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor neglect to pray for ourselves and others.

IV. We will endeavor to bring up such as may at any time be under our care, in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, and by a pure and loving example to seek the salvation of our family and friends.

V. We will rejoice at each others’ happiness and endeavor with tenderness and sympathy to bear each others’ burdens and sorrows.

VI. We will seek, by Divine aid, to live carefully in the world, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, and remembering that, as we have been voluntarily buried by baptism and raised again from the symbolic grave, so there is on us a special obligation now to lead a new and holy life. We will work together for the continuance of a faithful evangelical ministry in this church, as we sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines.

VII. We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations.

VIII. We will, when we move from this place, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen.
